AVM Group Announces Promotion of Terrance Abrams to Senior Superintendent

Terrance New Hire Announcement

AVM Group is pleased to announce the promotion of Terrance Abrams to the role of Senior Superintendent. Terrance has been a vital part of our team, bringing years of dedication, leadership, and hands-on expertise to every project he oversees.

Reflecting on his promotion, Terrance shared, “It feels very good knowing how much trust Trip (CEO) and Rick (COO) have in me.

This promotion marks a significant milestone for Terrance, both personally and professionally. “As just a journeyman, I never aspired to be a foreman or superintendent, but the leadership team saw potential in me and guided me into these roles. From there, it’s been a rewarding journey.”

During his time as Superintendent, Terrance has spearheaded several high-profile projects, including three Regency Technologies projects where he significantly reduced completion times, and his first long-term project at Denso in Maryville, TN, which spanned over nine months.

Other standout projects include Daimler at Detroit Diesel and two Swagelok Sales and Service projects, all of which showcased Terrance’s ability to deliver results with efficiency and precision.

Terrance attributes his success to his early start in the construction industry. “I began working in residential carpentry while I was still in middle school, and by the age of 16, I moved into commercial construction. My brother and I owned our own company until I joined the union at 24. That experience has helped me communicate well with both our team and our customers.”

Looking ahead, Terrance is excited to take on his new responsibilities. “I plan to continue fulfilling my regular duties while helping other superintendents understand the different systems we provide. I also hope to ease some of the workload for our project managers by taking on additional tasks.” When asked about potential challenges, his approach remains simple: “I’ll continue to do my best with whatever is thrown at me.”

Terrance expressed deep gratitude for the support he’s received throughout his career at AVM Group, highlighting the trust and mentorship from leadership figures like Trip, Rick, and VP of Controlled Environments Cory Sopko, along with PMs Nick Scibilia and Michael Price, and the many foremen he’s worked under.

As he steps into this new phase of his career, Terrance is most excited about the unique challenges each new project brings. “Every single project we do is different, and I love the constant change in work locations.”

Terrance also offered advice for those aspiring to grow into leadership positions: “Believe in yourself, show good leadership and work ethic, and the company will believe in you.”

We are thrilled to see Terrance step into this new role and look forward to the continued impact he’ll make on our projects and teams.
