Types of mattervault

concrete MATTERVAULTs

When a high level of radiation shielding is required, our lead brick, polyethylene, concrete block, high-density (HD) block or poured-in-place concrete MatterVault is best. Designed to shield against high-energy sources, this solution provides the most protection.

lead MATTERVAULTs

For medium-energy shielding applications, we can design MatterVaults with leaded substrates, including steel, leaded drywall and plywood, or even leaded brick. Our patented circular MatterVault also works well. Filled with sand, this design is modular, and easy for you to change and modify over time.

FRAMING AND LEAD PLYWOOD MATTERVAULTS

MatterVaults built out of framing and lead plywood are best suited for low-energy shielding. We also offer the modular MatterWall system. Designed for shielding applications that need between 1/32” and 1/4” of lead, MatterWalls can be easily conformed to your existing room.
